The Division of Local Government Services serves as an advocate for local government interests. We provide technical, and financial assistance in budgeting, financial reporting, joint services, purchasing and management issues. Most importantly, however, we are responsible for the financial integrity of all local governmental units.

The The New Jersey Government Finance Officers Association which was established in 1937 as a professional association of governmental finance officers to: # Train governmental finance professionals pursuant to the certification program as established by the State Legislature * Study problems affecting governmental finance and make recommendations for their solution * Review legislation affecting the finance administration of governmental units * Promote in-service training programs for government finance employees * Cooperate fully with the projects and aims of the Government Finance Officers' Association of the United States and Canada

The NJ AWWA is over 1750 members united in a mission to provide New Jerseyites with safe drinking water. Members include most of New Jersey's public and investor-owned water utilities along with engineering and environmental professionals and allied industry businesses.

The Authority was created on November 4, 1985, by an ordinance of the Township of Old Bridge. .

The OBMUA is a public entity however it is funded entirely by revenues related to water and wastewater operations, not via municipal or state taxes.
